Wingspan 16-20mm. Another bird-dropping look-alike with greyish-white wings and a dark-blue-black blotch on the leading edge. Wavy cream lines are present and the abdomen is bluish-grey with a white tip. |

Pupates in loose soil or leaf litter. Overwinters in this stage. |

Yellow-green with red markings feeding on a variety of plants including Yarrow, Birds-Foot Trefoil and Red Clover. |
