Wingspan 25-32mm. A small wave-like moth with a distinctive shaded crossband across the pale forewings that varies in intensity and colouring. The forewings are somewhat pointed with the leading edge usually similarly coloured to the crossband. |

Feeds on a variety of plants including Bramble, Dandelion and Traveller's Joy. |

Attracted to light. |

Coastal limestone with shrubbery. |

Rare resident and immigrant. Restricted to the south coast especially the Isle of Portland. |
