ADULT: Wingspan 35-38mm.  The rounded forewings with the brownish-grey ground colour and predominant pale streak running through coupled with the tent-like resting posture make this a readily identifiable species. CHRYSALIS: Pupates  in cocoon below ground. LARVA: Feeds on Broom and Tree Lupin. BEHAVIOUR: Attracted to light. HABITAT: Hedgerows, open woodlands, heathland and dunes systems. FLIGHT PERIOD: Resident.  September to October. STATUS: Resident.  Patchy distribution throughout but frequent where larval foodplant occurs.  |
