ADULT Wingspan 35-38mm.  The rounded forewings with the brownish-grey ground colour and predominant pale streak running through coupled with the tent-like resting posture make this a readily identifiable species.
CHRYSALIS Pupates in cocoon below ground.
LARVA Feeds on Broom and Tree Lupin.
BEHAVIOUR Attracted to light.
HABITAT Hedgerows, open woodlands, heathland and dunes systems.
FLIGHT PERIOD Resident.  September to October.
STATUS Resident.  Patchy distribution throughout but frequent where larval foodplant occurs.
