| ADULT | Wingspan - 22 - 26mm. A typical wave-like moth with white fore and hindwings with the only markings made up of 2 broken cross-lines that end as dark spots on the leading edge of each forewing. The hindwings have 1 similar crossline which doesn't end in a dark area. |
| CHRYSALIS | Hibernates as a pupa underground or among plant debris. |
| LARVA | Feeds on Blackthorn and Hawthorn. |
| EGG | Located on foodplants. |
| BEHAVIOUR | Attracted to light. |
