Fungal Friends, The Fungus Group of Cheshire and Flintshire has been set up to bring the fascinating world of fungus to all the family.  Supported by the Association of British Fungus Groups (ABFG) the aim of Fungal Friends is to promote and encourage an interest in fungus whether for photography, conservation, art, or even eating, by organising regular walks, talks and social events.  The group will also identify and record its findings and these will be forwarded to the ABFG as part of the national records database to help conserve UK fungi for the future.

GUIDELINES FOR FUNGAL FRIENDS MEMBERS:-

• Attend as many forays as possible

• Attend as many other wildlife events as possible

• Always share your finds and knowledge

• Encourage friends and family to join the group

• Promote the group and distribute advertising materials

• Contribute to the group newsletter

• Support the Association of British Fungus Groups by becoming a member

• Most importantly – HAVE FUN! There is a small annual subscription to help cover the costs of newsletters, publicity and identification materials.  This is currently £5.00 per adult (16 and under are FREE)
