Old schooled from the Richmond, VA/Washington DC, punk scene from the 1980's, Jillian's first love for punk really started literally the week after high school. In 1982, while on a stint in Europe, she bought The Clash. That was it for her, and has been documenting what is now punk rock history. Fast forward to regretting not putting down on paper what she has seen, heard, or felt from the scene in the 80's, she is now making up for lost time and bringing it back to where it is supposed to be-without all the fluff. Claiming there is nothing more satisfying than to dig up and take notice to the great bands that have heart, talent, perseverance, and fire in their belly, Jillian cherishes the bands that would have been systematically buried in the crap-heap of regurgitated rock, and shoves it right in the skeptics' faces.

Although the underdog lifestyle has found her, rather than the other way around; she is now using the pen as one of her weapons of mass destruction! Forever searching for like-minded rockers, she enjoys and believes that awesome and unique raw talent should be squeezed out to its fullest intent, grinding it down to the very grains of raw in order to keep it real. Living by her motto, "Never take your rock 'n roll for granted," she relies on true believers to sift and separate fact from fiction, and to snuff out the pretentious imposters with one swift blow. She's pen-poised and ready!
