| FRUIT BODY | 0.5 - 1.5cm wide (per cup). The striking reddish-purple irregular lobes emerge from wood before widening into cup/disc shaped ascocarps which are fused together to make one gelatinous mass. Sarcoides means resembling fleshiness. |
