FRUIT BODY 5 - 15cm funnel-shaped with an ash-grey spore bearing outer surface and a brown/black scurfy inner surface. Becomes more irregularly wavy at the margins and also dries paler.

SPORES White and elliptical.
HABITAT In clusters in leaf litter beneath deciduous trees.
SEASON Occasional.  Summer to late autumn.
