FRUIT BODY 0.5-3cm wide. Staring off has a closed growth with a rough uneven outer surface eventually opening into a hazel brown saucer with a petal-like lobing around the edges. The surface becomes more pallid when dry.
GILLS/PORES N/A
FLESH Tough, no distinct smell or taste.
SPORES Creamy-white, smooth, cylindrical.
HABITAT In clusters on the branches of Hazel and less so Alder.
SEASON Uncommon. Spring to late autumn.   
EDIBILITY Inedible. r
