| FRUIT BODY | 10 - 30cm in diameter. Thick fan-shaped bracket with a hard reddish-brown upper surface that is zoned and knobbled and with a smooth white pore bearing under surface that discolours when handled. |

| FLESH | Dark brown, thick and tough. |
