FRUIT BODY Up to 4cm tall. A creamy-white saddle-shaped cap that is variably contorted with many undulations. The undersurface of the cap is ochre and slightly downy. The stem is white and deeply furrowed and tapers towards the apex.

FLESH Thin, white and rubbery. No taste or odour.
SPORES Cream and elliptical.
HABITAT Under beech or oak.
SEASON Frequent.  Summer to late autumn.
