CAP 2 - 7cm in diameter. Orange - yellow-orange. Convex becoming shallowly funnel-shaped with an incurved sometimes wavy margin. Paling with age.
STIPE Concolorous with the cap with a dry surface. Central or eccentric in attachment.
GILLS/PORES Narrow, close, decurrent, repeatedly forked, orange and sometimes brighter than the cap.
FLESH Flesh thin, pallid to pale orange.
SPORES White, smooth, ellipsoid.
HABITAT Grows in troops under conifers.
SEASON Common.  Late summer to autumn.
EDIBILITY Inedible. r
