DESCRIPTION No other species grows on the leaves of Bistort in such a manner with the edges of the leaf somewhat mis-shapen and blistered powdery dark brown.

Dark brown, globose to sub-globose, with low warts. (Link)

HABITAT On leaves of Common Bistort.
SEASON Extremely rare. May to July.
