DESCRIPTION: Seen at first as obvious pale yellow spots on leaves, petioles and stems of host plants before becoming an increasing powdery orange mass. SPORES: Aeciospores are yellow, spherical to ovoid or ellipsoid, densely verrucose. HABITAT: On leaves and stems of Dog's Mercury. This species also has two alternative hosts - Populus tremula and Populus alba. SEASON: Common. April to June.
