| FRUIT BODY | Up to 2cm in diameter. Starting subglobose with a smooth inner surface and textured outer surface the fruiting body becomes more top shaped to flattened with an overall smoother appearance. |
| FLESH | Buff with violaceous tints and very rubbery. |
| SPORES | Hyaline, ellipsoid with 2 oil drops. |
| HABITAT | Common in clusters on dead branches and logs especially Beech. |
