FRUIT BODY

Up to 2cm in diameter. Starting subglobose with a smooth inner surface and textured outer surface the fruiting body becomes more top shaped to flattened with an overall smoother appearance.

FLESH Buff with violaceous tints and very rubbery.
SPORES Hyaline, ellipsoid with 2 oil drops.
HABITAT Common in clusters on dead branches and logs especially Beech.
SEASON Common.  Summer to winter.
EDIBILITY Inedible. r
