CAP Up to 9 cm in diameter.  The yellowish olive-brown cap starts convex with a somewhat inrolled margin before becoming flattened. The cuticle tends to crack with age to reveal the yellow flesh beneath.
STIPE Up to 6cm, concolourous with the cap and slightly curved. Tapering towards the base.
GILLS/PORES The pore surface is yellowish to olive with obvious pores that are 1 to 2mm in size.
FLESH Pale yellow throughout and not staining. No distinctive taste or smell.
SPORES Olive brown , long and ellipsoid in shape and smooth.
HABITAT Lives solely on Common Earthball (Scleroderma citrinum).
SEASON Occasional.  Autumn.
EDIBILITY Inedible. r
