CAP: 0.5–2cm in diameter.  Pale yellowish -brown in colour with a usually darker edge that is shallowly striate. Distinctly conical with an obvious nipple on top which is occasionally absent. Hygrophanous and viscid when wet. STIPE: Similar to cap but of a more yellowish hue. Long, equal and slightly wavy. GILLS/PORES: Gills are pale clay becoming dark-purplish brown. FLESH: Cream with no distinct taste or odour. SPORES:Dark purplish-brown. Elliptic. HABITAT: Preference for lawns, gardens and pastures. SEASON: Common. Late summer to autumn. EDIBILITY: Edible but not recommended as this is the renowned 'Magic Mushroom' which is hallucinogenic and could be mis-identified.
