CAP 0.5–2cm in diameter.  Pale yellowish -brown in colour with a usually darker edge that is shallowly striate. Distinctly conical with an obvious nipple on top which is occasionally absent. Hygraphanous and viscid when wet.
STIPE Similar to cap but of a more yellowish hue. Long, equal and wavy.
GILLS/PORES Gills are pale clay becoming dark-purplish brown.
FLESH Cream with no distinct taste or odour.
SPORES Dark purplish-brown. Elliptic.
HABITAT Preference for lawns, gardens and pastures.
SEASON Common. Late summer to autumn. 
EDIBILITY Edible but not recommended as this is the renowned 'Magic Mushroom' which is hallucinogenic and could be mis-identified. a
