FRUIT BODY 10 - 25cm in diameter. Thick fan-shaped bracket with a slightly hairy, pale upper surface that is zoned and markedly uneven. Uusually has a greenish tint due to algal growth.
GILLS/PORES The pores are slot-like and start off white becoming cream coloured.
FLESH White, flexible and tough.
SPORES White, subcylindrical.
HABITAT In tiers on fallen deciduous trunks especially Beech.
SEASON Frequent.  Throughout the year.
EDIBILITY Inedible. r
