CAP 2-7cm in diameter.  Starting convex with inrolled margin becoming flattened until finally lobed and uneven. Pale salmon pink and faintly downy.
STIPE Stout, equal and concolorous with cap.  Downy,
SPINES Pale salmon pink.
FLESH White, soft and fragile with no distinct taste or odour.
SPORES Hyaline, broadly ellipsoid.
HABITAT In both broadleaved and coniferous woods.
SEASON Infrequent.  Late summer to late autumn.
