| DESCRIPTION | Up to 5mm. A small ladybird with a maroon-brown body colour that has 14 creamy-white spots. 6 of the spots form a cross-line across the elytra. The legs are brown. |
| BEHAVIOUR | Overwinters in leaf litter and bark crevices. |
| DISTRIBUTION | Common throughout in Britain. |
| HABITAT | Usually seen on the leaves of a variety of deciduous trees and shrubs. |
| PERIOD | On the wing spring to summer but can be found anytime of the year. |
