| DESCRIPTION | Up to 12mm. Immature adults in late summer have red and purple markings whereas fully mature specimens that are reproductively viable in the spring have an overall yellowish-green look. The antennae are red and the sides of the abdomen are blue. |
| BEHAVIOUR | Usually seen on Gorse but can be found on Broom and other legumes. |
| DISTRIBUTION | Common and local throughout. |
| HABITAT | Hedgerows, woodland edges, coastal or wherever foodplant is found. |
| PERIOD | April to October. |
