DESCRIPTION Up to 9mm. This is one of several similar green weevils with the main identification characteristics being the black legs and antennae beneath the scales and the ventral tooth on each femora. The antennae are also reddish in colour towards the base but again this can only be seen on specimens that have lost the green scales around this area.
BEHAVIOUR Usually seen on leaves of foodplant.
DISTRIBUTION Widespread throughout. .
HABITAT Almost always on the foodplant Common Nettle in open areas.
PERIOD May to September.
