| DESCRIPTION |
10 - 20 mm in length with females larger than males. A mainly green species with wings reaching to the end of the abdomen and a pale stripe running along the top of the head, thorax and abdomen. The females obvious ovipositor is upturned with a brown tip. At the rear of the thorax are located two brown patches which complete the ID process. |
| BEHAVIOUR |
A nocturnal tree dwelling species that is attracted to light. Its call is made by the tapping of the hind foot on leaves. |
| DISTRIBUTION |
Only found along the south coast where it is relatively common. |
| HABITAT |
Mainly distributed from central Britain southwards and found in a variety of areas where there is ample greenery. |
