| DESCRIPTION | Length up to 12mm. A distinctive creature with a sturdy red and black body that cannot be mistaken for anything else. One of our largest homopterans. |
| BEHAVIOUR | Found on foodplants such as Dock, Nettles and grasses and jumps away when disturbed. |
| DISTRIBUTION | Common throughout south of the Scottish highlands. |
| HABITAT | Woodland glades and grassy rides. |
| PERIOD | April to August. |
