DESCRIPTION Length 7 - 10mm. A fast moving insect with a nice tawny colour throughout. Wings of adults extend to the tip of the abdomen. Flattish in appearance.
BEHAVIOUR A nocturnal species that is omnivorous and has a 2-year life cycle. Attracted to moth traps. Both sexes can fly.
DISTRIBUTION

Local in southern Britain.

HABITAT

Mainly found in low growing vegetation in heathland, downland, woodland, coastal cliffs and dune systems.

PERIOD Adults can be seen June to October.
