DESCRIPTION Up to 9mm this small shieldbug is almost always found within a small colony on the foodplant. A small creature with a magenta colour throughout with a green to bronze sheen.  The triangular bronze patch at the base of the scutellum is distinctive.
BEHAVIOUR Usually seen on leaves of foodplant and occassionally on White Dead Nettle.
DISTRIBUTION

Common in southern and central England and southern Wales.

HABITAT

Hedgerows and woodland edges or wherever foodplant is abundant.

PERIOD May to September.
