DESCRIPTION Height up to 15cm tall.  A very distinctive plant with rounded, fleshy leaves that have a somewhat depressed centre. The flowers spikes have a red stem bearing numerous greenish bell-shaped flowers. The leaves are edible.
DISTRIBUTION Mainly western Britain.
HABITAT Dry stone walls and stony banks. Quite often in shady areas.
FLOWERING TIME June to August.
