| DESCRIPTION | Height up to 90cm. The leaves of this plant are ovate and are borne in 3 to 9 pairs with a bristle point at the tip. The inflorescence contains 2 to 6 short stalked flowers that are deep pink to purple in colour. The fruit pods are black and hairless. |

| HABITAT | Hedgrerows and the edges of woodland are the preferred places that this plant grows. |
